Living, breathing, singing and sharing music through songwriting and vocal performance is joy personified.– Wendy McIntyre

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

North Carolina-born, DMV-raised, Wendy McIntyre has loved R&B music since she was first introduced to classic, turned-favorite artists like LTD, Donny Hathaway, Whitney Houston, Faith Evans to name a few. Lush orchestration, beautiful melodies, soul captured and poured out through heartfelt lyrics – that’s what R&B music is and will forever remain. A self-appointed R&B ambassador, Wendy’s goal is to share her music to build a new generation of R&B lovers and to elevate the genre through excellence in vocal and live performance, unique show experiences and the highest quality music production.

SOUND STORY…

As a singer who has performed various genres of music including R&B, gospel and jazz, the Wendy McIntyre sound is true R&B music – soulful riffs, thoughtful chord progressions, warm baselines, authentic delivery of real life lyrics with a splash of jazz for good measure. “I sound like the life I’m living, the love I was raised on, the love I’m seeking, and the woman I’m evolving into daily.”

BACKLINE…

Wendy McIntyre discovered her voice listening to WHUR’s ‘Quiet Storm” radio show as a young lady. Albeit songs that were “too grown up” for someone so young – the music sparked her interest in music and made her sing along. Ultimately, she used an old recorder to playback her voice singing along to the songs of her favorite artists. Wendy entered a school talent show, joined a choir and has been singing ever since.
